McKenna’s Statement

Earlier this week Washington Filmworks wrote about gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna’s interview on KUOW.  After the interview, Washington Filmworks requested a statement from his campaign.  We received this response:

The film production incentive was recently extended, with a sunset date, after a legislative review found that it was meeting its goals. The state should continue regular review of all tax incentives to identify those that are meeting their goals and those that have outlived their usefulness.

As the race for Governor unfolds, Washington Filmworks will keep the community informed about developments that may impact the film industry.  The general election is Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
